Are we or are we not the most powerful influential nation on earth? What can the UN do if it doesn't take us seriously? Isn't that why there is a security council? Try to think in terms of using our power in a positive manner. We can you know. We don't have to torture or export war to make our influence felt. We can call out the phonies but to ignore the interests of other nations divides the world and allows the very dictators you despise to find a refuge and a voice. It all boils down to is the US a leader or a follower in world affairs. I believe we are a leader.
