One, they took out one. That's not a lot, an M60 burst into the passenger compartment would of taken them all out

First, they took out three.....one is dead; the other two badly wounded.

Secondly.....strangely enough the driver was okay. If they were shooting the engine block wouldn't the driver have gotten it since he's even closer?

Thirdly, why not shoot for the tires if you are uncertain who is in the car?

I do not think the Italians were targeted but I do not believe the blame lies solely with the driver of the car.

And what about the killing of the Bulgarian soldier?

A M-60 burst into the engine block would have been almost as effective. They almost certainly were using M-16s. Which are pretty effective against engine blocks too...
