The rule of law means the law applies the same for everyone. You're advocating varying punishment for perjury based upon who is committing the crime or the subject matter of the perjury. Another reason why socialism fails... Apply your rule of law to my example. What is the penalty for cutting down a cherry tree and lying about it vs the penalty for telling a lie about committing a murder?
