Same with news, I can cover the world in a few minutes...

Fox does it in 80 seconds. By comparison, you are a bit of a slouch although it might explain why righties have problems dealing with furiners!

For me, it's the radio while driving during work or the Internet at home. It kills me to watch a weatherman take 15 minutes to tell me the weather forecast I can read in 30 seconds....

What I'm really amazed about is the amount of time spent on international weather on news channels. I watch a lot of CNN Asia and CNN Europe, and the weather in Europe and Asia (and the Middle East) is on constantly.

Probably as much as 30 seconds every half hour - that's what 30 sec/ 1,800 secs = 1.7% of all broadcast time!

Why in the world do I (or any viewer living in the the Middle East) need to know the temperature in Copenhagen or Singapore?
