I am comming to the hypothese that Economic, Political and Military analysis require world views which are so different that
that being good at tends to exclude being good at the other.

Most wars are stupid economically, so economists discount their probability.

My figuring is that, in the case of hard landing in China, truly hard, as in kaboom, the result could/should/would be political reform so that the powers that be can remain in power by another route, and if so, the subsequent easy take-off will make the past 25 years' gentle evolution seem like standing still. In which case we must borrow and buy.

In the case of soft landing or no landing, we are fine, without sleepless nights and tired days.

In for a penny in for a pound. What the heck.
