While the ASCE name may have been hijacked, the report was written by Gene Corley. That should be a huge red flag for you. Here's why..... Gene Corley has been involved in at least two extremely contentious and disputed investigations that I am aware of, the collapses on 9/11 and the explosions at the Murrah Federal Building in 1995. At first, I thought this might be merely coincidental. But then I read into his work on both incidents and came away with the conclusion that the reason that Corley was hired is exactly the reason that George Bush, after attempting mightily to suppress any investigation into 9/11 finally settled on Washington's most accomplished whitewasher, Henry Kissinger, to head the 9/11 Commission. This was too egregious a thrust toward a cover-up even for officially corrupt Washington society to swallow, and so we ended up with the more lacklustre, but equally duplicitous Gov. Tom Kean heading the whitewash. *** In view of the fact that Corley covered up all easily found evidence of internal bombs planted at the Murrah Federal Building, it is hardly to be expected that anyone in the know would trust this man to be anything other than completely dishonest about the collapse of the WTC Towers. *** "Orca, know your sources!" is always good advice. In the case of Gene Corley, realize you are dealing with a man who's job appears to be that of a whitewash artist, rather than as a structural engineer. You suggest, " Put together by structural engineers, blast engineers, demolition engineers, fire safety engineers...a whole team of engineers:" But the reality is that Corley is the final editor and has cherry-picked exactly what fits his cover-up. *** Here's what was written in refutation to some of the Corley-induced fantasies: septembereleventh.org Just a couple of weeks after this letter circulated, UL fired Mr. Ryan for insubordination. Makes you wonder, doesn't it?
