Snow on the mountains, green in the desert? Death Valley not dead after all? Glaciers growing in New Zealand. It looks as though we are heading into the next glaciation in the ice age. Canada, Northern Europe [Britain and Germany included], Russia and parts of the USA and Asia are heading for permafrost and hundreds of metres of ice cover.

We don't need the Kyoto protocols, we need very rapid CO2 production to stave it off.

The glaciation is overdue. The Little Ice Age was a harbinger. Maybe this will be the real thing. The deserts have enjoyed their heyday, having expanded greatly. It's time for them to be rolled back and taken over by flora and fauna.
