The Security Council (not the UN) wanted more time to complete inspections. They didn't say no... they said "not now". Bush was in a hurry.

I know. That's why I put this part (because he deserved another 3 months???).

To me, the idea that Saddam didn't "come around" in 10 years and 6 months, but might in 10 years and 9 months, seems ridiculous, but the Security Council evidently thought otherwise.


Dude, he did come around. Did we find any WMDs in Iraq? The definitive is no. He did what he was supposed to do under the UN resolution. Had the neocons not had their own agenda we would not be in Iraq right now.

And don't come back to me and say he was a bad leader. I know that. There are a lot of bad leaders in the world. It sucks but then a lot of things suck.
