Sounds to me like he's saying patriotism led to a lot of enlistments in the last couple of years, which is probably true. Majority may overstate it a little, but then again it may not. Have you posted anything giving evidence to the contrary? When you do, let me know.

<Show me were anyone here suggested a desire to go to war was a major reason people join the military> I just did exactly that -- do you know why? Because Jewel cannot accept the idea tens of millions of Americans can say "I support our troops", which most people do, and be completely sincere in that statement while at the same time opposing the war. Now if you have any interest in addressing this issue, have at at. If you are just looking for a nit small enough for you to tackle, move on.
