I was trying to contrast two different views. You seem to be stating that you think people who are insulting, or at least annoying, should be allowed to post, and I disagree with that. That's all I've said. If you disagree with that, let me know- that's what I got from your post. You seemed to tolerate, or perhaps even desire, a higher level of conflict than I desire. But I could be wrong. Do you wish to have a very civil, moderate thread- with very few insults? A thread where we concentrate on policing behavior, rather than issues (since all issues are fine, as long as they do not lead to unpleasant behavior)- and where we do not let a discussion of issues become a personal attack? That's what I want. I was not under the impression you were of the same mind, but perhaps I misunderstood you. I certainly don't want to (and didn't mean to) argue about whatever your vision of thread propriety is, since we are entitled to our own ideas on that (imo) and they will necessarily be different, since we all hold different values.
