You miss the point again. It is more a condemnation of the masses who have elevated a bumpkin to a higher godlike pedestal because they think Afghanistan has changed dramatically. Getting rid of Taliban good. But beyond that - no major accomplishment. Spare me the democracy crap in Afghanistan - that place will be back to it's old ways once you withdraw the US troops. Also the democratic process has seen the STATUS QUO. i.e you see the same warlords ruling over people who had held the power before democracy.

Brumar, what is going on in Afghanistan is no Democracy but it is a hell of a lot better than Taliban rule...

the entire Middle East, which I consider Afghanistan and Iran part of, is a conglomeration of Tribal, Warlord, Gangster, Family, Cleric and despotic rule...it will never be otherwise....and as long as we, the USA, keep our thumb on the pulse and ready to react to radical Islamic slimers then all is ok.....the only Arabs that escape this scenario are the ones that immigrate to some other country.....

History tells us this...it is true......
