Actually, I have some other reasons for suspecting AAPL will reverse or trade sideways from here.

First, I have seen AAPL do this before.

Second, the upside volatility in AAPL is much more than the downside volatility. Just look at this chart, which is the ratio of AAPL stock price to QQQQ stock price, and you will see what I mean:

stockcharts.com[w,a]daclyyay[dd][p][vc60]&pref=G

Third, the volume patterns tell me there are buyers lying in wait below. That's the fundamental reason for #2 above---when AAPL trades down, it attracts a swarm of buyers. And that's what we saw last Thursday, and twice today.... look at the surge of volume that stopped AAPL's downward momentum:

139.142.147.22

This is not really chart or technical evidence that AAPL will reverse---as Reid pointed out, there is little or no such evidence.

I could be wrong; I am biased since I am long AAPL. And it is always possible that there might be a fundamental trend change brewing in AAPL, but I think this is very unlikely, given the solid earnings performance quarter after quarter after quarter.

....all IMHO...
