<from the photos you weren't able to check out the car, television ... refrigerator, nanny, cook, driver, translator, weekend retreat on the island in the middle of the Summer Palace, summer at the beach, reviewing of the troops from the guest stands at Heavenly Peace Gate side, and geewhizwhoa holidays in exotic locations staying at hidden away villas.>

Jay, I have some sympathy with Chairman Mao's mob rule given that back in the day, much wealth around the world had been acquired by inheritance from thugs who had stolen property and lives.

Unfortunately, when the mob does that, the baby gets thrown out with the bathwater = the productive wealthy people who did it all on voluntary exchange of value and being creative and productive are skooshed along with the bludgers.

My mother's young life in Manchuria and Shanghai included servants, cooks, large house, tennis court, etc too. She, and I, could see how it was unfair for the indentured serfs who provided the luxury for the layabouts.

Further revolutions are due as the new-age state-funded bludgers accumulate wealth at the indentured serf taxpayer's expense. To me, it's weird, but a great advantage of democracy to the greedy bludgers, that the stupid, benighted, indentured serfs go on voting for more and more and bigger and bigger government with more and more money siphoned from their wage packets to fund said state bludgers.

Look at India as an extreme example, which for over half a century has been voting itself poor, while the wealthy government kleptocracy milk and bilk the benighted masses who ignorantly vote for more of the same, decade after decade after decade after decade. The average Kiwi is doing the same. So far, they've achieved going from 3rd in GDP per capita on Earth [combined with a great climate and way of life] to somewhere nearer Morocco. Spain used to be an impoverished place where Kiwi tourists would photograph third world activities. Hong Kong and Singapore were bargain basement Kiwi tourist haunts. Now, we make the beds for a few shekels for touring Singaporeans and newly-resident Hong Kongese. Heck, even the previously pitifully poor Mainland Chinese are moving in and the stupid Kiwis are grateful for a bit of cash flow from them.

Many [600,000 of 4 million] Kiwis have fled, and they are the more productive, leaving a festering swarm of state-bludgers to fight over the remnants. Helengrad is wanting to entice them back - giggle. Being romanced by Helen Clark to return to Gulag Aotearoa is like being attracted to Stalin's salt mines or Mao's Maelstrom.

I must figure out how to short the NZ$ in favour of the US$.

Liberte, egalite, fraternite!!
