Mutual backscratching. Just look at the way that a fraud like Mike Powell at the FCC attempted to destroy sensible rules about media ownership. The handful of despicable greedhead media owners
like Murdock, Eisner and Redstone were creaming their drawers over the opportunities that Powell was attempting to hand them. And they know that bribery works, as well as favorable media coverage.

Thus, there is a malignancy on both the Presidency and the media as both sides engage in a mutually parasitic corruption of democracy.
