ElM, there's no labour shortage in New Zealand. Labour shortages are solved instantly by offering more money.

What the whiners about labour shortages mean is that they used to be able to hire a plumber for $20 an hour but now have to pay $50 an hour [or something].

If $1000 an hour was offered for all jobs, there'd be no shortage. Of course people earning $50 an hour would find they can't afford the plumber. That's not a labour shortage, it's them needing to upgrade their skills and get a real job.

We do not need a bunch of immigrants of limited value.
