I would remind everyone that the greatest longest lasting Army in HISTORY was the ROMAN ARMY. That army was TOTALLY mercinary and often paid more allegence to their commanders then to the Roman State. More recently the only decent French fighting force was the French Foreign Legion, again mercenaries and while small were considered quite good. jdn

Unfortunately, I think you are right about this sentence...

The American people are not truly serious about this war. It will take a WMD to do so IMnHO.
