i think they (the banks) see the looming interest rate increase. and people walking away from their homes. (some trapped in 3 and 6 year ARMS)

i dunno. the laws in california is like. all they can take is the house. they can't take your (other) assets....I'm not an expert on mortgage insurance but i would think those guys will take it in the chops...

I think you are wrong. It just you hear about it when they declare bankruptcy because it becomes a political issue.

The most important issue here is that Congress is bowing to credit card companies and royally screwing the middle class.

I haven't decided whether I support this bill or not, but I don't see how making people pay their debts is "royally screwing them."
