"The Postman" by David Brin and "Lucifer's Hammer" by Niven and Pournelle are also good ones along the same line.

Have you been borrowing my books again? Ever since I read Andre Norton's "Daybreak 2250" in the late 50's I have been a sucker for a good apocalyptic tale.

The Postman is on my list of favorite books...and I hate kevin costner for what he did to the story in his movie....I also loved Lucifer's Hammer. Although, Niven/Pournelle really got redundant with "footfall" (not the storyline, but the use of a large object crashing into the earth).

I'm glad that I have a new post apocalyptic book to read.....had never heard of that one.
