say hi to ron wolf

tell him he is sorely missed

Wolf was named the Packers' GM in Nov. 1991. And during his nine-year tenure, Green Bay won one Super Bowl, played in two, was in three NFC championship games and won 63.9% of its games.

Wolf's drafts rivaled anybody's in the NFL. And he made two of the most lopsided trades in league history - acquiring quarterback Brett Favre for a first-round draft choice and running back Ahman Green for a song.

Wolf retired on June 1, 2001, and served as a team consultant for a bit. Today, he doesn't charge for his advice, but it's still sought often. And when he offers it up, it's like words from E.F. Hutton.
