It came from my interests in discussing politics, AI, physics, metaphysics, emergent phenomena, philosophy and religion. When I came to this board I used to post a lot on an obscure thread where God was discussed. I said that I didn't believe in a personal god, but could probably compare my god to that Spinoza and Einstein - the Cosmic Force. Since I buy into that we are all in the image of the Cosmic Force, I posted as little "c" cosmic force (A cosmic force to distinguish myself from THE Cosmic Force -yuk, yuk) playing on the "big C", "little C" distinction between versions of communism in poly sci (I'm not a communist either, but a social democrat). So, there you have it. And I like e.e. cummings, but that wasn't the reason.
