re: Yeah, it looks that way. Its too bad.....they finally got Beirut rebuilt from the last one.

And then we'll have two simultaneous wars in the ME... how many 'til they spill over borders and the whole place goes up in smoke?

That's the ME for you. They take two steps forward and then two steps back.

However, I do think a critical mass is being reached in the region. A news program recently mentioned the influence of the web has been considerable on Muslims.......and I agree. I think al Jazeera is also having an impact as well.....probably the first Arab media outlet that comes closest to telling the truth.

But ultimately it will depend on the Arabs themselves. Will they fight for freedom? Take the painful first big step? Only now after two years are a few Iraqis taking the chance. Will their leaders be smart enough and willing enough to change for what will be a new dawn?

I think it will be interesting to watch. I just want some distance between us and them.......'cause I think this one is going to be a very painful birthing process.
