most probably this one is and they indeed had some excess hanky-panky going on as compared to what their lack of legal status would grant them - or her - at the time.
But Mittag-Leffler was a bore and not the brightest of math "wizards" either and historians all gree that he never made it into her panties.
Who knows, maybe his dominating personality made Alfred decide that all math guys are like him and thus never would deserve a chunk of his funds?

Or maybe the reason was that enormous home he built in the most expensive Stockholm burbs funded by his wife's money?
