Let's get something straight. I do not see the Iraqi's as my enemy. Nor do I see the Iraqi "insurgents" as my allies. I believe we shouldn't be in Iraq right now. Neither an ally or a foe.

I do think that we'd agree that if 140,000 Arabs descended on our state, and set up checkpoints on the highway...and shot at us if we didn't stop or slow down, that we'd be damn pissed off about the situation. And we'd be pissed if other folks were shooting at us if we went too slow. I understand that going as fast as possible is the safest way to travel Iraqi roads. So stuck between a rock and a hard place...we'd probably turn into snipers and IED experts ourselves.

So it's not that I hope that you'd be shot on the highway in Iraq...it's just pretty good odds that you would be.
