Mish,

allow me to help you out. <ggggg>

Lehman is speaking Chinglish so you need to speak that language to understand.

Lehman, as in many other international conglomerates who are trying to establish their respective strong holds in China, are trying their best to lobby the Chinese government to do certain things that would be to their best advantage.

Therefore, when you see Lehman (or anyone else) "predicts" something of that nature about China, they are actually hoping for a self fulling prophecy effect.

I opine that the Chinese government and its underlying leaders are fall more capitalistic than those in Washington. Just follow the money. China is not going to do anything that is not good for China. Having said that, you can almost rule out China doing anything that the US would like China to do.

In a speech on the FRB site, the govenor says that the current account deficit has to be equal accountingwise to the capital account surplus. You can not send the money to Mars. Right again.
