I don't smoke and I don't drink that much, but if you did run "a large 'office environment' company" company and I was chosing between differing offers of employment I would probably take another offer if everything else is similar between the companies. I'd prefer to have an employer who doesn't involve himself in my decisions and actions outside of work, at least if the actions are neither illegal, nor something involving competing against or providing confedential information about the company.
