I don't think the player they got in the trade will prove to be a huge upgrade but we'll see I could be wrong.

If they gained a lot of cap room in the trade they could use the money to upgrade their defense, but I don't think they will gain a lot of cap room, at least not this year. For this year they probably lose cap space. They could upgrade down the road but I think the move hurts them at least in the short run.
