Look. Maybe I want to believe that our leaders aren't as diabolically clever as you seem to think they are and maybe that makes me biased, but I seriously doubt we have him in our sights. If we did, Bush would have used that card to ensure he got re-elected.

Maybe, may be not. There were mixed perceptions as to what capturing bin Laden would have meant for Bush's re election campaign. In the meantime, his being on the loose helps to keep
the fear alive. BTW I don't think they know exactly where he is......just a good idea of the general area. It would still take some doing to capture him.

Or if we do have him in our sights, it could be that we are gaining valuable intelligence from the comings and goings of his couriers. There is a good chance we can glean more value out of watching him than out of killing or capturing him, at least in the short term.
