I associate that car with Power Women. My boss in Social Services got a 280Z after her divorce. It was unique in Lexington where people drove only Fords and Chevys and it gave her a certain cosmopolitan air and éclat we all envied. The cops were always stopping her. Dan and I were broke, in law school, and driving a 1966 Ford Galaxy that had been sitting in my mom's garage for years that we managed to get running. At least we were politically correct according to Southern small town standards.
