That was an excellent movie, BTW. I don't think it is necessary to be a Buddhist to be a good person, but most Buddhists seem to be good people. They have to because they recognize that the baggage they create here follows them into the after life. How cool is that! Forgiveness without contrition seems to let people off the hook for their deeds.

I remember Little Buddha! It was really a beautiful film. When Grainnette was a little girl we lived on Vashon Island, so when the movie came out it was really exciting to see all the Seattle scenes. Thanks for reminding me about it--I think I will rent it and watch it again.
