All through Clinton's administration, the neocons had been broadcasting to most anyone who would listen what they wanted. In fact, on a couple of occasions, they wrote Clinton and demanded he take out Saddam.

Astute observers (these are the people you call "neocons") recognized immediately that Saddam was a problem that had to be dealt with. When Clinton failed to enforce the UN inspection requirements in '98, Saddam's fate was sealed -- he simply HAD to be removed. He entered into a ceasefire then violated its terms the instant he realized America had weak leadership. He could push Clinton around, but when you get a real leader in office, it is over.

Now, we have the roots of democracy spreading through the ME like wildfire. Yes, there will be ups and downs -- but the trend is that the threat of terrorism against the United States will be reduced year after year.

The sovereignty of other nations is inconsequential to them.

A more truthful statement would be, "The sovereignty of other nations is secondary to our own". Unlike the Left, Bush will not cede OUR sovereignty to the UN and he will protect OUR sovereignty against outside influences, and he won't respect someone else's sovereignty to our detriment.

It is tough for a true American to find fault with this approach.

This has been planned for some time. Its part of the reason why I think they are so dangerous. The sovereignty of other nations is inconsequential to them. That means they don't have a lot of respect for institutions; to whit, the UN. And that covers both American as well as international institutions. In other words, nothing is sacred including our own democracy.

Agree 100%. Note that none of the "conservatives" respond. There is nothing they can say...

Yes, there are certain things they won't assert........they run the risk of being labeled inconsistent, or worse, a sociopath.
