In my experience quite a few libertines are very authoritarian when it comes to government. Could be. I don't have much experience with libertines. I will take your word for it. <g> It makes sense to me that authoritan libertines would want to regulate the distasteful activities of others but want to be free to pursue their own. Just as non-libertine statists want government to crack down on activities that are distasteful to them. Problem is that the things the lefty and righty statists want to disallow are entirely different and often in conflict. The result of this is that we either use government force to prevent the bugaboos of both or we constantly fight about what to regulate. Not a pretty picture.
