There were 500,000 people at the demonstration. You think they threatened all of them? If so, you need to have your water tested.

1 - Estimates of demonstrations in the US are highly uncertain. I think it may be more so in Lebanon.

2 - You can threaten huge numbers of people. The threat doesn't have to be specific or one on one. It just has to be a general feeling, often not directly communicated, that you would be better off if you go along. Many might not even think about it much, it just becomes what you do.

3 - Some of them may have been threatened, others probably do support Hezbollah. Some of them or even a lot of them may have been Syrians.
