I think it's that they think they know what is good for everybody and they can't stand it unless they make everybody do it. Conservatives, on the other hand, are more inclined to live and let live. I don't know what their major malfunction is. Must be some kind of mental disorder where they all have panic attacks if they aren't in control or aren't doing something even if it doesn't work or doens't make sense.
