The middle ground of course is theistic evolution.

Theistic evolution natural and reasonable to me. I don't see why we all can't just insert a deity or leave it out as we see fit and go about the business of science. Theistic evolution doesn't seem to me a middle ground but rather shared ground--the same side. The issue isn't a sliding scale by my thinking but rather a dichotomy between science and revelation. Theistic evolution is on the science side.

Could you possibly define theistic evolution and explain why it is the middle ground?
