It is important for sure to get a good fit with a family pet especially when you have small kids. This little puppy I just got is a sweetie. He sits up to be petted and I didn't even teach him that.

I agree, Ionesco. It is really important to spend time with the parents of your puppy, and also enough time with the breeders to make sure they are knowledgeable and not in it just to make a quick profit. I met all the parents of our three dogs. I hope everyone here knows by now that ordering a puppy online or buying one from a pet store usually means that a puppy mill is involved. These dogs never are socialized correctly or treated right, so they are going to bring sadness and pain to your family.
