elmat,

Thanks for the introduction to Lyptus. Some of the furniture I spotted on Internet photos are highly reminiscent of Honduras mahogany, one of my favorite woods.

I'm a bit troubled by the way that the material was presented in your post. The article, purporting to be "news" from the AP, read as if it were simply a reassembly of the product promotion brochures produced by Weyerhauser.

AP should be more honest when it is attempting to run an advertisement as "news". They seem guilty of the same sort of misrepresentation and propaganda that is discussed in this NY Times' article today about government propaganda parading as "news" in the U.S.:

nytimes.com

Unfortunately, corporate media in America is getting dangerously close to the "Pravda" and "Tass" of the bad old days of Breznev's un-democratic control of the media in the Soviet Union.

Lately, I seem to be spending more time reading the critics of the U.S. corporate media than paying attention to the media itself, which has become almost completely useless to a citizen of a purported democracy.
