rs,

I concluded on Friday that having some cash was a critical component of my portfolio. I used the bounce on Friday to raise some from some of my biggest gainers. Friday gave me back half of Thursday's looses. Should another Thursday occur I will have some dry powder.

The other rule I am thrashing with is the one that says one stock should not exceed 5% of ones' portfolio. The recent runs have lead to several violations of that "rule". I wonder if saying 5% based on cost might be better.
