I agree. We need to tax things we want less of and reward things we want more of. The problem with taxing oil is the impact it would have on Detroit. The more we go to smaller fuel efficient cars the more we go to Honda and Toyota. I thought this was one of the greatest ironies of the past election. The UAW was working for someone who would work against their best efforts. Think about it - the wacko environmentalists and the UAW in the same coalition. LOL - it is hilarious. Bob
