blankmind,

ELNK has been off my radar screen for a long time now. I just took a quick look at their balance sheet and they still have $440 million in cash and short-term investments. One of the few healthy ISPs. A rough business.

Still following it w/a few shares. ELNK rides the back of the phone companies, and the phone companies themselves (e.g. Verizon) apparently can and do offer DSL cheaper than ELNK. In my area, ELNK is just not competitive with VZ for DSL - although apparently ELNK tries to get around this by offering additional services for their monthly fee.

According to a media report I've read, Sky Dayton is working on some new technology that might "revolutionize" some aspect of telecommunications. I am hoping further announcements of progress might be helpful in propping ELNK stock (assuming this technology will be delivered through his ELNK business). So I continue to hold.
