Grace, that is very sad.

It sounds like she didn't rent the entire house herself, but only a room in the house, thus she had no way to capitalize on the other two rents.

This is a very bad situation for her. It sounds like she was missing the upfront capital to get out from under the situation, and it sounds like either her job didn't pay enough for her to get the upfront capital, or did she have expensive habits?
