Amy,
I suspect the wages will rise over a period as the housing collapse (in literal sense) would cause shock to our system and all effort will be made to prevent it. The prices will go down a few notches but will not collapse like Nasdaq in 2000. JMO.

Rising wages to match outrageous real estate prices would make me very nervous (I own a company.)

Perhaps the conundrum Bush, Greenspan and proponents of our new ownership society will someday figure out.
