I agree on nukes but would go further and erect breeder plants to reduce the mass of waste. The bigger problem is how do we store the energy so that its available at the point and time of demand. The world needs a super battery, or hydrogen. They are the only options I know of.

Wrong. Current windmill designs are capable of supplying power to 1000+ homes EACH, and are supplying 20% of the power in some European countries.
