I think that the Aussie had it right about America...and what this nation stands for. What is in the heart of the nation. But an ad in a Pakistani newspaper, can't change the heart of America, and cause it to begin on a path of wanton murder of innocents in the pursuit of terror=Saddam. Thousands of innocents killed, without any advertisment, or reward, to kill one madman? What is our reward? Is it the silencing of Al Qaeda? I think that this war needs to be seen in the light of the writings of the PNAC. Their clear intent lacked only another Pearl Harbor, Gulf of Tonkin or USS Maine to make the call for action legitimate. America is Iraqis and Pakistanis and Iranians and all people that seek peace and prosperity in the world. Orca

Brian, It's interesting that your anonymous homage to "the American" should appear one or two items below an intelligent discussion of the Pentagon's use of "psyops" against the American public. Thanks for providing such a convenient example of the product of the "public diplomacy", aka propaganda trade. You are either a tonto utile (a useful idiot), or else you really are naive to expect that such softball propaganda as your fluff piece will actually get people to forget about the atrocities of Abu Ghraib, Guantantemo and Bagram. The "American" your post describes is a childish fantasy. The reality that the rest of the world clearly understands is that of a jack-booted thug on his way to support the malicious totalitarian imperial wet dreams of the Project for a New American Century. Here's the way the rest of the world actually sees your "American": knife-party.net
