<Regarding Zn being a nutrient, surely you jest? >

Actually, no! < Zn being a nutrient, surely you jest? > I have in the cupboard a nutrient bottle called "Zinc Plus". It has some zinc compound along with a bunch of other stuff. Zinc deficiency: ctds.info

I'm not surprised there's a lot of zinc washed off corrugated iron [a hugely popular roofing, fence and cladding material in New Zealand for distant readers]. Imagine how much lead washed off too [from lead-based roof paints as well as the weatherboards].

Copper too, surely isn't a toxin? It's everywhere. People wear copper bracelets to get a constant dose of the stuff.

Of course like everything, too much of an essential ingredient turns into a burden. But they aren't like lead and mercury which are outright poisons in any amount.

But, I'm maybe learning something. It happens.
