I agree! I think solar is our best best. Got the best source of power out there only 8 light minutes away.

I just don't think it was ready before, and I don't believe in conspiracies about oil companies and secret government plots stopping science from marching forward.

There will be rapid developments in solar in coming years. Efficiencies at converting light and heat energy into useful electricity will approach 50%. Nanotechnology is going to really push solar forward. I'll see if I can put together a primer for the thread on nanotech solar research. Some of the advancements are very interesting. Such as taking advantage of a wider range of the visible and invisible spectrum.>/i>
