I realize it's possible to view it that way--and indeed that seems to be the prevailing view--that a cadre of Jews have managed to hijack US foreign policy, bending it to the will of Israel. I'll admit to not wanting to believe this view because it plays right into the hands of all the whacko anti-semitic world jewish conspiracy crack-pots. And besides, it would line me up right behind Pat Buchanan! I just don't think it's that simple. And there's already an uncommonly high tendency in this post 9/11 world to find the unseen hand behind incomprehensible events, at both ends of the political spectrum, using "facts" that might be completely false, as zonkie posted earlier today, to support our preconceived notions about how the world works.
