Yeah, the stock threads could get ptretty heated but it was usually bulls vs. bears, scamsters vs. scambusters. But definitely heated.
While not always up to my own standards, they tend to remain civil and factual. Try that on geode00. Or sylvester80. You may ignore them much of the time. Not always. Depends on their charge.
