A lot of American Jews have no passion for Israel. They aren't Zionists. A lot of Catholics don't give a flip what the Pope says.

I used to date a Jewish co-worker who had gone to Israel, lived in a kibbutz, and on returning was decidedly not a Zionist!

I think any American with Zionist dual-loyalties shouldn't be allowed anywhere near foreign policy, especially where it concerns the middle east. Individuals with strong demonstrated ties to Israel, such as Wolfowitz, Pearle, Fieth, etc., if they are allowed to contribute to our government at all, should be given assignments concerning Africa or South America - something that has ZERO to do with Israel. Their dual-loyalties, in conjunction with their policy decisions, have demonstrated they can't be trusted to be working JUST for the United States. There should be NO DOUBT where powerful government appointees loyalties lie. Israel IS NOT the 51st state, and it's concerns and problems SHOULD NOT be the concerns and problems of the US.

If you really want to debate with an anti-semite - Emile Virdine is around here somewhere...
