That is already happening, our state legislature is right now deciding on a bill that would prohibit pulling the plug unless there is "clear and convincing" evidence that's what the person would have wanted. Which is really stupid because in the Schiavo case the court ruled that there was in fact such "clear and convincing" evidence and that ruling was affirmed on appeal. The problem with this case is that everyone is arriving at conclusions without bothering to review the facts. Everyone is responding based purely on emotion.
