As between what Terri wants and what her parents want, I put more weight on what Terri wants. It would be different if she was a child when she had the heart attack, but she was a grown woman and capable of making her own decisions. A trial was held and the court ruled that "clear and convincing," the highest possible standard, evidence exists that she would want the feeding tube removed. The trial court's decision was reviewed by appelate court which concluded the trial judge had ruled correctly. Personally I believe that the decisions of courts regarding the law of the land should be respected. Others prefer mob rule.
